Blakshine – II

(S/R – 2016)

Now these guys make up one hell of a great band who are made up of former Traitor’s Gate Vocalist, Rick Gillat; Tony Butterworth (Bass/Vocals) of Adhesive alongside Drummer, Dave Lindley and Guitarist Andy Dawson (both formerly of British Rockers, ‘Savage’).

They came together in 2010 and let me tell ya that from beginning to end it’s a stock piled high of hard, grabbing goodness with highlights including the slipper stomping ‘King Of The World’ and  the gutsy ‘Getaway Car’.

Then there's the deep heavy plodding ‘Heroes’; the apt. ‘Antipolitical’ with its cowbell intro and the funk of ‘Unbroken’. An album that was recorded pretty close to home – a Mansfield in fact at The Old Library Studios by Savage Drummer, Mark Nelson.

Kickin’ – get it bought and cranked up loud!

9/10
