Steve Hill – Solo Recordings Volume 3

(No Label Records – 2017)

CD, Album, Album Review, CD Review, Latest Studio Release, Steve Hill, Solo Recordings Volume 3, One Man Band, Canada, No Label Records, Noble PR, Peter Noble, ZZ Top, Jeff Beck

Cracking one man bluesman who basically takes care of all the business of all things vocally and instrumentally.

Many numbers on here grab your attention like 'Dangerous'; the acoustic 'Slowly Slipping Away' & 'Troubled Times' that make me think of John D. Loudermilk; the gutsy 'Can't Take It With You' or kicking covers of 'Rollin' & Tumblin/Stop Breaking Down' or earlier in the album 'Still A Fool & A Rolling Stone'.

Little wonder he has supported the likes of ZZ Top, Jeff Beck and Wishbone Ash! Arguably one of the best acts out of Canada in years!

10/10
