Ocean Colour Scene member goes it solo on this CD that has a contemporary feel about it as opposed to being more rock like his day job. 

 

Vocally, Andy puts me in mind of Paul Weller and gives us a pleasurable listen in this 10 tracker that starts with the delightful ‘Hole In The Road’ and goes as far as throwing in his own version of the ‘Scene’s ‘Old Pair Of Jeans’.

 

Then later on there’s the dark and orchestral ballad ‘Delusional Faith’; the almostly ‘I Just Can’t Pretend’ with it’s string section – think ‘Eleanor Rigby’ or bouncy closer ‘A Little Love’.

 

Decent.
