Barbara Black – Ad Libitum

(S/R – 2017)

CD, Album, Album Review, CD Review, Barbara Black, Ad Libitum, Spain, Spanish, Danny Vaughn, Southern Rock, Gospel

Spanish female vocalist who has an incredibly powerful set of pipes who blends in Heavy Metal, Southern Rock, Country and Gospel into her style and overall musical vibe.

Land anywhere on this album and it's totally f*ck*n' epic without a filler in sight. It grabs you right away with some kickin' dobro work on opener 'The Hill'; 'Non-Human Person or 'Bessie's Song' that feature the All4GospelChoir towards the end adding even more emotion and feeling to the songs; the bolstering 'Island Of Youth' the quiet and acoustic, brilliantly voiced 'Alabama Rose'

It's little wonder that she was named one of the best Spanish female voices of 2014 in the Metalegun Website plus provided backing vocals for Danny Vaughn on an acoustic performance in Madrid and during the Burning Kingdom tour too with Mr. V on lead vocals as well. Her voice soars and is really strong and a pure joy to listen to.

Excellent.
