Parker Barrow – Hold The Mash (E.P.)

Parker Barrow are a raunchy 6-piece Blues Southern Rock Band from Nashville, Tennessee.
‘Make It’ is the first track on this E.P which is full of Blues fire that burns from the Guitar of Alex Bender. The band are made up of husband-and-wife Drummer, Dylan Turner and Singer, Megan Kane with Bo Howard on Bass, Will Tipton on Guitar and Eric Safka on Keyboards.
The group have a lot in common with current UK Tour headliners, The Damn Truth as they also consist of a couple in the shape of Singer, Lee-la Baum and Guitarist, Tom Shemer. The comparisons don’t stop there Megan Kane is a powerful and formidable presence like Baum in many ways.
Parker Barrow draw their inspirations from a vast range their name comes from the infamous bank robbers, Bonnie (Parker) & Clyde (Barrow). This E.P shows the unique talents of the band as the develop and become ever more creative. The 5 songs on 'Hold The Mash' flash by with an intensity that is thrilling, the keys, bass, drums, guitars meld together in monumental fusion, then comes the drama of Kane’s voice.
Have I got a favourite? For now, ‘The Healer’ with its slashes of slide and some mind-blowing keyboards. My guess is after tonight at the Waterfront in Norwich (first date of the tour, I am reviewing and doing photography) all my expectations will get blown away. Parker Barrow are set to explode, and I am proud to have been part of their continuing musical conquest.
They are here to steal your hearts and minds; you can bank on that! Because it is the damned truth!
