The Bad Flowers – Starting Gun

(S/R – 2017)

CD, Album, Album Review, CD Review, The Bad Flowers, Starting Gun, Scotland, Cannock, Scottish, Rock, Peter Noble, Noble PR

Raw, brash, raucous three-piece outfit who slam out mainly hard 'n' fast hitting grooves with hints of old school rock and punk, psychedelia and stoner all moulded up in one and then some...

'Secrets' got my attention with its crawling bluesy riff and addictive drumwork; the rollicking 'Hurricane'; the acoustic guitar and just a vocal beauty that is 'I Hope' and closer 'City Lights' with its marvellous singalong chorus. Imagine a Scottish version (Cannock to be exact) of The Cult meets Wolfmother on a crazy collision course of rock 'n' roll.

Worth cranking up load!

8/10
