Temtris/Sinners Sermon/Ro Eggleston –

Yorkshireman, Sheffield, Saturday 23rd May, 2026

A young singer named Ro started off the show. She has an extremely good voice and has such an amazing talent. Her voice is very Disney and theatrical and not gritty like I am used too with Rock singers.

It is hard for any performer to open the evening but to be up by yourself with just backing tracks must be daunting. Ro didn't show any sign of nerves. She belted out tune after tune that she wrote and composed herself which is very admirable. This was a good heart-warming performance and a great start to the night.

Sinners Sermon are a local band made up of Daminan McNeilly (Vocals), Niall Heffernan (Bass/ Vocals), William Percival (Lead Guitar) & Mathew Tompson (Drums). A unit who are a blend of Doom metal and NWOBHM with a splash of Thrash metal thrown in. These guys were a last-minute addition to the bill after Fracxura pulled out.

It's worth noting that this band hasn't been together for long. In fact, their first gig was only at the beginning of May. With so little experience as a unit, this could easily have been a car crash. Instead, it was anything but.

The singer, Daminan has a Punk/Metal attitude with lots a swagger and is the perfect frontman. He completely owned the stage from the moment he stepped on it. His vocals were spot on, and the way he connected with the crowd showed just how talented he is. He looks like he was born to perform. The way he moved, danced, interacted, and sang made it seem as though he'd been doing this for years.

But what about the rest of the band? For a group that's been together such a short time, they were incredibly tight. The chemistry was obvious with each member instinctively anticipating what the others were doing. The musicianship was excellent. I'd listened to them on social media beforehand, but live they're on another level entirely.

There were no weak links here—just solid musicianship, excellent heavy metal, and a charismatic frontman leading the charge. A great set from start to finish and I can't wait to see them again.

Set List: Evil Lies/Scars of Betrayal/Khaos Divine/Evolution of Hate Lies become the Truth/Carnival of Tears Forever/World Is Bleeding Out/Ritual Warfare/Narcosis/No one is Listening/Eagle Fly Free.

Sydney based 80's Heavy Metal Band, Temtris consist of Genevieve Rodda (Vocals), Anthony Fox (Guitars), Vane Danov (Bass), Nicholas Bolin (Drums) & Nadi Noroozian (Guitars).

To say that I am a fan of Temtris might be playing it down a little. I interviewed Genevieve earlier this year and she was lovely. Listening to Temtris on Social media made me extremely excited for this performance. I was hoping this band would deliver.

They started with 'Evil Lies' and straight away I was blown by how amazing Genevieve's voice is. It is better live than recorded. Incredible voice. The band played it fast and heavy and I found myself headbanging while trying to take photos. What a good start. It only got better with one belter after another since 'Scars Of Betrayal' and 'Khaos Divine' followed. It's like she looked at my favourites on Spotify and thought, 'Yep, we will play them tonight'.

They played a couple of songs I wasn't familiar with. So I do need to brush up with their back catalogue. 'Carnival Of Tears' really showcased Genevieve's amazing voice and how she can hold a note. But for me, one of the highlights is my favourite song 'The World Is Bleeding Out'. Such an incredible song, my favourite this year. I was finally watching it being performed live and the band did not disappoint.

They followed it with 'Ritual Warfare' and the excellent 'Narcosis'. The fans were starting to worry about Nadi Noroozian as he was visibly struggling with his hand. Having to come off stage for a break. When he came back he was still struggling. Turns out he is suffering with 'Tennis elbow'. He carried on, although in obvious discomfort for the duration of the show. The end was sadly upon us.

Temtris ended an amazing set with their cover of Helloween's 'Eagle Fly Free'. I can't tell you how excited I was for this! Temtris are the perfect band to do a cover of it. Genevieve has a voice that could manage the best Metal singers like Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio and on this occasion, Michael Kiske of Helloween.

Not only did the band do this amazing song justice, they totally smashed it out of the park! What was even nicer was Genevieve dedicating the song to me. Made me smile so much. What a way to end the UK tour. Perfect. Temtris came, performed and conquered!

One of the best live performances I have seen in a while. I do hope they will return.
